CUSTOM SOLID WOOD FRAMES FOR MICROSCAPE MODELS
GIVE A UNIQUELY PERSONAL GIFT
Microscape models capture the sculptural beauty of cityscapes in durable panels that make incredibly distinctive gifts, decorative accents for home or office, and mementos of the most important moments - and places - in our lives.
They're 3D-printed from our own accurate, up-to-date aerial scan data, meaning that they can evolve along with the built environment. Because we manually process all of that data to make it printable, they can also include buildings still under construction or still in planning.
Designed by architects for architects - and everyone else - the Microscape Manhattan Collection is an elegantly understated way for anyone who has ever visited, lived in or been inspired by the city of New York to show their appreciation for one of the world’s greatest metropolitan centers.
MANHATTAN WAS JUST THE BEGINNING
Our flagship Manhattan Collection is a set of over 200 modular panels that - alone or grouped together - can serve as a beautifully sculptural decorative accent or full-wall treatment, an incredibly unique gift commemorating special events and places, or a functional, fully accurate context model in which to test architectural and urban design concepts.
We intend to cover major cities across the US and around the world, but our initial proving ground has been the city of New York. (We figure if we can make models of here, we can make models of anywhere...)
COMMISSION A CUSTOM MICROSCAPE
We don't just scan and print cities. The Microscape process has lots of potential applications. Among them:
- Creating models of architectural details from historic buildings

HOW WE GOT STARTED
Microscape began as a fairly casual side project. To see whether the rest of the world might love the idea of architectural models as decorative accents as much as we do, we launched a Kickstarter campaign on January 25th, 2016 with an $8,000 funding goal.
Thirty days, over 1300 pre-ordered models and $103,854 later, our campaign ended and we concluded that the answer was probably "yes".
Microscape is now a growing enterprise intent on scanning, processing and printing every inhabited part of the planet. Yes, really.
While 3D scans of cities and 3D printed architectural models are nothing new, Microscape's process and products are unique for their application of several existing technologies in a way that will allow rapid customization, continual updates and a vast array of material options.
